The Music Ministry at First Presbyterian provides opportunities in worship, education, nurture, musical performance and outreach.
Through the great music of the  church, we share the story of the Gospel of Christ and offer  praise and glory to God.

Children's Choirs
Our children age 4 through 5th grade have an opportunity for "Music Time with Miss Ginna" on Wednesday evenings through the BLAST! program. The Children's Choir  prepares songs for various worship services throughout the year, as well as for special programs at Christmas and the end of the year.

Children's Choir

Alleluia Handbell Choir
These adult and youth ringers meet for rehearsal at 8:00 a.m. each Sunday and provide music for worship and special occasions throughout the year. Upper school and college students are also invited to join this group.

Schantz Organ
In 2001 a three manual, 56-rank Schantz pipe organ was installed by the Schantz Organ Company of Orville, Ohio. The organ not only enhances music for regular worship and special services, but it is also a resource to the music community serving as a practice instrument for organ students and a splendid instrument for concert performances.  Click here to see the organ specification.

The Jackson Memorial Carillon
The Jackson Memorial Carillon, with its 47 bells, is a unique feature of our music ministry, providing music for community events, worship services and weddings.  It is one of fewer than 200 such instruments in North America, and it’s distinctive and melodious tones may be heard every 30 minutes as it plays the Westminster Chimes.
