Helen Redding
Director of Music

Helen has recently retired after 30 years of teaching vocal music in public high school. She and her family have lived in Jackson since 1990 when she began 12 years at Jackson Central Merry High School.  Upon the creation of Madison Academic Magnet High School she was there for 12 years, having been fortunate to have been the only vocal music teacher at Madison.

“My life has always revolved around music.  At one time, both my parents, my three brothers and I were taking piano from the same teacher!  I was the only one who stuck with it.”

She has been organist and musician for many churches through the years.  This is her first venture as a Church Director of Music.
