FPC Family,

At our recent Session meeting, the Long Range Planning Committee reported on the results of the input received from the Future Vision Areas of Focus Response Forms. After reviewing both the rankings of the suggested Areas of Focus and the comments from our congregation, the Session will be moving forward to develop detailed implementation plans for the following Focus Areas:

• Increased focus on our children/youth ministry.
• Increased in-person worship attendance.
• Increased focus on spiritual growth of our Elders and congregation.
• Increased lay delegation of John/Courtney’s workload.
• Increased funding for our facilities and property.
• Increased focus on the needs of our older members.

Re-invigoration of our Wednesday night dinner/study groups.

While this may look like a lot to accomplish, we noted the overlap in these focus areas and the opportunity for them to complement each other. We were also encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive tone of the many comments we received.

As you know, this planning process has been founded on our church family individually and collectively seeking God’s will and guidance for our church, and we sincerely appreciate your engagement in this effort. We ask that you continue to pray for His guidance for our church, and that you also pray for our Session as they seek to discern His will for us.

As we continue the planning and implementation process, we will have periodic updates for you.
